On November 7, 2023, the 88av 888 (JPO) co-hosted a follow-up seminar for alumni from JPO/IPR training　in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, in cooperation with Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) of LaoPDR.

About 40 Laotian government officials, IP professionals (attorneys, etc.), and JPO/IPR training alumni attended the seminar in which the theme was "Quality Management of Trademark Examination".　They were able to deepen their understanding of the current IP policies in both countries, quality management of trademark examination, and formal and substantive examinations of trademarks.

Through these initiatives, the JPO will continue to support the continuous self-sustaining development and improvement of the IP environment in developing countries such as LaoPDR, so that it will lead to promote an environment in which the intellectual property of companies can be quickly and smoothly secured and properly protected.
