Mr. MOROOKA, Director General of the JPO Patent Examination Department (Mechanical Technology), visited the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) of South Africa on November 23, 2023. At this time, he held a bilateral meeting with Commissioner Voller, wherein they exchanged information regarding the recent developments of both offices, as well as views with regard to cooperation in the patent field.

The JPO will continue to promote cooperation with African IP offices in order to develop an environment wherein the intellectual property may be swiftly and smoothly secured, as well as properly protected, throughout Africa.
